ice will melt, water will boil...

Here's a few things you would've done today if you were me.

1. Interview with a headhunter. This went well. And hey, since he makes his living on commission, he's super motivated to find me a job. I actually liked the guy, too, which is good. Headhunters don't have the best reputation in the world.

2. Visited the old office. The headhunter was about a block away, so I figured I'd say hello. And once again, I thanked the good Baby Jesus that I no longer work there. That place could be a case study in how a once great organizational culture completely went to hell.

3. Ate lunch with the LesleyMom. She made me a toasted cheddar and some vegetable beef soup, just like when I was a wee Lesleygirl. Awwww...

4. Saw the surgeon for a follow-up. I got drained again, which incidentally is just as much fun as it sounds, and was told that I am still healing beautifully. This makes me very, very happy!

5. Ended the day with good food, coffee, and girl talk. You can't beat that.
