sunday four

Oh did I forget to blog or something? Yeah, I think I'm going to be taking Fridays and Saturdays off. At least for now.

So once again I feel like numbered-listing you. How about four? Yeah, why not?!!

1. I know you're on the edge of your seats, here, but all I'll say is that I had a very, very, VERY nice weekend.

2. Some of you have asked, and I really have no updates about the job search process right now. Other than to tell you that it is the most frustrating and soul-crushing process I have ever been part of. I do my Lesley-bestest to not think about that, though, because then I start going to The Bad Place and start grieving the loss of my job, lamenting the fact that I'm looking for work during the worst economy in decades, crying about the fact that I'm a cat-owning spinster with no job, and once again plotting retribution. And ya know, I just can't have any of that. So anyway, yeah, job searching. It's a lot like internet dating, actually. You see their profile, they give you a call, everything seems cool, you meet up once, everything's great, perhaps you meet again, you go away think this is going somewhere and then... SILENCE. No call, no "hey, it's not you, it's me", not even a text! I don't get it. But deep down, I remain optimistic, and I will continue trying, and I know soon I'll find a job. I'm not worried about that. Those of you who want to worry on my behalf, go right ahead. Just don't tell me about it, because then I'll feel bad, okay?

3. That stupid tonsillitis I had has gone away but yet I'm still coughing. Whose idea was this? I'm giving it a few more days before I go back to the doctor.

4. Once again this week, I'm sorting clothes and getting rid of things that are now too big. I feel like I've done this every season for the last three years -- not that it's a bad problem to have, mind you -- but I do worry that I'm going to have nothing left! It does make me a little anxious to see a walk-in closet that was once reasonably full (but not overly so) and is now rather empty. This is why I need one of those job thingies. I need money to buy cute new clothes!
