tell me all the things you would change...
Seriously, if you even remotely know where the quote comes from (without the use of Google!) then you are my new BFF times infinity!
Today involved a lot of running around to three different doctor appointments on yet another paper chase. Oh yeah, I didn't tell you that but I need at least one more reconstructive surgery. This may be my last, but I'm not sure. There's one more I may opt to do. Tough call. Because I know you're nosy like that (oh hell, I would be, too) I'll tell you that what I need now is a boobectomy (more commonly known as a breast reduction) and excision of excess skin from my medial thighs. Yeah, sorry if that's TMI. My blog, my rules, people. I will be a very happy woman when both of these are done, although I have to say that having to strip for all these doctors who are doing the necessary documentation has officially eliminated any remaining shyness I had about the naked. Although I do have to say that seeing my doctors' enthusiasm for my getting this done and how happy they are with my weight loss really makes me feel good. Sometimes I feel bad about how much weight I've lost because to me it means that things were really, really bad once upon a time, but then days like today remind me that it's no small accomplishment. By the time this reconstructive surgery is done, I'm going to be quite the hot little bionic woman!
Other than the running around, I made some truly kickass vegetable stew. I made a giant pot of it since there are two meatless days this week (today and Friday) and I wanted to also have enough to freeze for another time. I was disappointed when I realized that I'd have to use vegetable broth instead of the chicken broth I usually use with this recipe, however, I bought the Emeril vegetable broth since it was on sale and all, added extra garlic and an extra bay leaf and I am pretty damn happy with how tasty it turned out. I don't miss the chicken at all, much to my surprise. I had it for lunch with a protein shake, and then for dinner with some steamed flounder. YUM.
In other news, well, there is no other news! I need sleep. Good night.
