we'll always have paris

Today I was awarded at least a million cool points for catching the movie reference in the title there. Hey, I'll take my sense of accomplishment wherever I can get it these days.

Here are a few things you might have done today if you were me:

1. Looked for a job. Oh wait, I do this every day. I also put a curse on the most recent job which seemed on the verge of buying me a ring and asking me a big question, only to evaporate into thin air. I'm hoping something less flakey comes along soon. Sister needs a job!

2. Spent some time joy-riding in the loaner car I was given by the Volkswagen dealer. I'll admit that part of my motivation to get a new job is that I'd then be able to buy such a car for myself. I totally recommend the Volkswagen CC, incidentally. MB and I were discussing it tonight, and we decided that basically it's an Audi for people who can do math and don't really care if the emblem on their car says VW or Audi.

3. Met one of my besties for coffee, and offered her lots of support with her current mandatory liquid diet. You know I've been there and can sympathize. If any of you ever have to go through such a thing, hit me up. I know which protein shakes suck less than others. I've really done the legwork here, people.

4. Visited Casa de LesleyParents, where I helped LesleyDad edit a file for work, ate a hot dog with LesleyMom, and also LesleyMom gave me a Giants t-shirt. Awesomesauce.

5. Watched a little TV, and then had a very nice and interesting phone call. *swoon*

6. Now I'm here writing this blog and nibbling a piece of cheese.
